Latest update March 15th 2021

Hi everyone

We hope that you mums enjoyed your 'surprise' for Mother's Day. We talked to the children about how they need to water it to help it to grow. The soil provides the food and the water provides the drink.

  • The staff will all be wearing masks in session following new Government advice given to us on Friday 12th March.

  • Thank you to all the parents who have returned their child's reports. For those who have not done so yet, please return them by Monday 15th March with your completed comments. Thank you

  • Our next Topic is 'Science and Growing'. We will be having fun exploring in different ways using various resources and continuing to learn about how plants grow.

  • We will be encouraging the children to 'have a go' and talk about what they experience and learn. We will be thinking about the words SINK, DROP, & TOUCH in the variety of activities that your child will experience.

LUNCH TIME- Please can we remind you to cut grapes in half lengthways if you choose to send them in their packed lunch. This is to reduce the risk of choking

GLOVES The weather has got colder and several children do not have gloves with them. PLEASE NOTE-we will NOT be able to lend spare gloves to your child in accordance with current guidelines. Please ensure that all items are named. Thank you

WELLIES Children like to splash in the puddles outside when it is wet- so please provide them with named wellies to ensure that they stay warm and dry.

Thank you for your understanding when having to wait to collect your child when the weather has been cold and wet. We are trying to be as prompt as we can, whilst ensuring that all children have washed their hands and are in their coats to leave us before we open the door.

Littlesteps Preschool will continue to have a temporary notice board outside of our entrance gate (until we are able to use our original Preschool entrance and main notice board). This will have up to date information on it about such things as upcoming events, our current topic and any current safety advice.
